Tonga has taken a major step toward bridging the digital divide with the approval of Starlink’s high-speed internet services. The Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change, and Communications (MEIDECC) granted Starlink operational clearance in December 2024. This decision is expected to revolutionise internet access across the archipelago, providing high-speed, low-latency connectivity
