Economic development moved closer to the centre of the Pacific regional agenda at the recently concluded 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in Belau (Palau), with leaders focusing on investment, fisheries, energy security, infrastructure and stronger regional integration. Held in Koror from 30 August to 4 September under the theme B.E.L.A.U. – Building Economies: Life.
